Is WerHatteWas really free?
Yes, but we would appreciate a small donation – even if it’s only €1 – to cover our costs.
Do I have to install an app?
No, RestoBill works directly in the browser. Simply open the link and get started – works on any smartphone, tablet, or desktop.
What happens to my data?
All data is stored in Europe in compliance with GDPR (Supabase EU). Old bills are automatically deleted after 30 days. We do not pass on any data to third parties and do not track you.
Can I pay my friend without PayPal?
Yes, you can also pay in cash. Simply select “Cash” as the payment method – the host will be informed and confirms the payment manually.
What does the PayPal payment cost?
PayPal is free for payments to friends (Friends & Family). There are no fees – neither for you nor for the recipient.
Can I select half portions?
Yes, WerHatteWas supports flexible quantities. You can select 0.5x (half portion), 1x, 2x or even your own fractions like 0.75x.
Can others see what I select?
Yes, all guests see in real time which items have already been selected. This prevents overbooking and ensures transparency. Names are only displayed once you have selected an item.
What happens if the AI recognizes something incorrectly?
The host can manually edit or add all items. The AI is a help, not an obligation – you always have full control.
Do I need an account/login?
No, RestoBill works completely without registration. Simply open the link, enter your name and get started. Your bills are stored locally in the browser.
